The Mobile Verification Toolkit (MVT) by Amnesty Security Lab inspects iOS backups and Android data for traces of targeted spyware, such as NSO Group’s Pegasus. It checks for malicious SMS messages, suspicious processes, and known exploit signatures. MVT outputs forensic reports and supports updates as new spyware variants emerge.
